Currently, Peep Space is self funded. There is no fee for submission to Peep Space's Flat File Program . Many galleries and project space require a $10-25 fee, however we would like to encourage artists to share their work without the additional stresses on their own personal funds. With that in mind, Peep Space would greatly appreciate any donations to our GFM page. Your donation will have no bearing on your acceptance into the Flat File Program.
Your donation whether you are the artist or an arts patron will enable us to continue to support artists in new and excellent exhibitions with our space, cover many exhibition costs, and allow us to create more programming to exhibit artwork . We have been enthusiastically creating our 2020-2021 programming, and your donation can provide even more resources for our exhibiting artists to use.
While you are in the giving spirit, the Art For Justice Fund makes direct grants to artists and advocates. AFJ focuses on safely reducing the prison population, promoting justice reinvestment and creating art that changes the narrative around mass incarceration.
We, co-founders & directors, Monica Carrier and Jane Kang Lawrence are both artists, full time art teachers and mothers . Opening an arena to showcase emerging and established artists has been a goal before meeting one another. As our friendship grew we realized our goal could be obtained if working together. We are very pleased to make our debut.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE ARTIST WHO APPLIED!
We are pleased to welcome emerging and established artists to participate in our inaugural Flat File Program, September 2020 - September 2021. In the winter season Peep Space will host an exhibition of selected works from the 2020-2021 Flat File. Some may be chosen for display for subsequent shows and be highlighted throughout the year on social media and website. All work will be readily available for viewing for Peep Space visitors.
Deadline to submit: August, 15, 2020. You will be notified within 2 weeks of August 15th.
